Obama

A Promised Land

Book by Barack Obama
Former President Barack Obama's “A Promised Land” sold nearly 890,000 copies in the U.S. and Canada in its first 24 hours, putting it on track to be the best-selling presidential memoir in modern history.

The only book by a former White House resident to come close to the early pace of “A Promised Land” is the memoir by Obama's wife, Michelle Obama, whose “Becoming” sold 725,000 copies in North America its first day and has topped 10 million worldwide since its release in 2018. This  book at $45.50  is  more expensive compare to any other past memoir.

The book is set to be translated  in 19 languages. When I  requested the  book at the local libraries , immediately after his 60 Minute interview on Nov 15 2020    (see his past 60 Min Interview after 2010  loss ) , my number in the local public  library  queue  was 16th  and 12th in Middletown/Middlesex counties in NJ.
